When the body of a beautiful and popular senior head cheerleader, Melissa Cooley, is found brutally stabbed to death at the local high school it sends the small coastal community in North Carolina into a frenzy.

    The book started off decently i guess. The plot feel a bit unauthentic , very typical CSI crime/ thriller one. The part about Mike was so easy to guess. Obviously the author wants us to think that it was Mike that killed the kids. Given that he had so many chances to attack Carma, he didn't. And the culprit is a bit make believe as well. It would make more sense to let the principle become the real killer, given that he knew about Ronnie locker and had so many times in his hand to check the memory stick and put it back. How could Ronnie and Rob access the crime scene that easy? The police would guard the place given that a murder just took place. And by guarding i mean inside and outside the buildings. And after everyone in the county thought that Mike was the guy, they still treat Kristy ...uhm normal? Like i believe in kindness and stuffs but common sense, they might distant themselves to her , hence will not invite her to parties and he couldnt just cheer and party like normal. The best thing qbout this book properly be the way the author tells the story, she is Carma. She describeb a typical small southern county so perfectly . My fave charactor is Harold. Much needed humor.
