I don't have enough room on this back cover to tell you all the reasons why you should buy this book, but I can tell you this and it's a guarantee: If you buy it, you will feel better, look better, be happier, grow taller, lose weight, get a promotion at work, have shinier hair, and fall madly, deeply in love. As you probably know, this is normally where authors put nice quotes from fancy people praising their book. I'm a little uncomfortable with that. It feels like a gimmick to get people to buy it and I don't believe in cheap tricks like that. Besides, I know you're way too smart and beautiful to fall for that kind of stuff. Actually, I think you're so wonderful I thought I would use this space to praise you. Yes, that's right. You.     I like Ellen but this book is just full of page filler and any rubbish that pops into her head. Might be better suited to stand up comedy than writing. I would have liked it more if she wrote more about her background than comical antidotes that are more annoying than entertaining. I could not wait to reach the end of book. I had to speed read past a few chapters as they were more “mind farts” than entertainment. Thank god I only spent $5 on it.

    Not a massive fan of the show either, gave it a go but the humour is not my style. I can see why if you love her show you would love the book also.

    What a total disappointment. This book reads as the most excruciating lesson in try-hard comedy. Every gag is like a punch line you'd expect from a Year 10 student' self-devised play. I just don't get the point of the book - it's literally just pages and pages of BS. Shocked it was bad. Appalled it was SO bad! Not Ellen quality.

    Both funny and thought-provoking, this book keeps you hooked from page one. Ellen writes as she speaks and her honesty is palpable. One of the best books I've read in a long time. I found myself laughing out loud and giggling too! Highly recommend it.

    I expected a lot more from Ellen..this was just a lot of random thoughts and lots of blank pages...just the odd chuckle...I lost interest after the first couple of chapters.
